18th Sunday of Ordinary Time

Ecclesiastes 1:2;2:21-23 | Psalm 90 | Col 3:1-5, 9-11 | Luke 12:13-21

Dear one,

You lay awake at night with anxiety. You want to figure everything out. The world eludes you to think that happiness is found in what you accumulate on earth. I made you and everyone and everything you encounter. Seek me, the Creator, not the creation. You are only on earth temporarily, but with me for eternity. You came into the world naked and will leave it naked.

I come to fill you abundantly with faith, hope, and love that will help you arrive ready to the place I am preparing for you. It's hard to observe others receiving good things if you have a scarcity mindset. I am a God that gives without limit. Trust in your story I'm writing.

I have made you with unique gifts and qualities that only you can share with my children. Don't be afraid to give. It is indeed in giving that you receive. Be responsible with your gifts and finances and don't be wasteful. Yet, don't bury them so deep that you miss out on giving generously and living the fullness of life today. Only I know the number of your tomorrows. Come to me always. Love others as you yourself. Don't worry about what others think. Keep your eyes on me. I love you and give you good gifts that last.

Love,

Jesus
